The Philadelphia Flyers faced off against the New York Islanders on Saturday at 1:00. The Flyers are in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race, right now sitting in 6th place. The islanders have had a disappointing season up to this point at 23-24 and have been on a 4 game skid. The Flyers posted 2 goals in the first period and another in the second but was overturned after further video review. N.Y. would tack on a goal late in the second but Philadelphia would hold on to the lead and go on to win by a score of 2-1. The player of the game was Ray Emre racking up 31 saves.
